Leighton is likely a stray hunting dog whose owner never came back from him after a hunt.  That's okay with him though.  He would much rather make friends with your couch.  He loves all dogs and children.  He is a little scared at first, but as soon as he knows you don't want to hurt him, he is eager for your affection.  Leighton is currently being treated in NC for heart worm disease.  Once his treatment is over in 30 to 60 days, he will travel to New Jersey for adoption.  Get that couch ready for him!
